The CM’s home district Medak lagged behind by recording just 7.88 per cent growth

Hyderabad: Nalgonda district has recorded highest growth in earnings through stamps and registration department in TS on the back of a realty boom on account of Yadadri temple development plan being taken up by CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao on a top priority basis.

Nalgonda with 89 per cent growth was followed by Ranga Reddy (East) with over 53 per cent during the first three months (April-June) of the current financial year.

Overall, TS recorded a growth rate of 37.13 per cent over the same period last year (April-June 2014-15) indicating that the realty sector has been picking up after years of slowdown since 2009. Interestingly, the CM’s home district Medak lagged behind by recording just 7.88 per cent growth.

The TS government has mopped up Rs 817.64 crore in just three months through property registrations against Rs 596.26 crore last year.

Such has been the growth in Nalgonda that property transactions increased by more than 70 per cent during April-June 2015-16 over the same period last year. While 18,803 property registrations were done last year, they increased to 31,496 now.

The target set by the government for Nalgonda was Rs 48.93 crore for April-June 2015, but Rs 49.99 crore was realised, recording 102.71 per cent. The figure last year was Rs 26.42 crore.
