New Delhi: With two weeks of the Monsoon session of Parliament washed off, the government has called an all-party meeting on Monday to discuss the way out from the prevailing stalemate. The Congress, however, has dug in heels, saying no outcome is possible without tangible actions against “tainted” ministers.
Congress leader in the Rajya Sabha Anand Sharma stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi must come out with a tangible proposal to break the stalemate.
“We are not interested in mere photo-op, tea and sandwiches. The PM must first tell us what action is being taken on our demands,” said Mr Sharma.
The government on Friday accused the Congress of “hurting” the country by blocking the passage of key reform Bills like GST Bill.
