AP Industrial Infrastructure Corporation has issued orders allotting 179 acres of land

Hyderabad: Decks have been cleared for setting up of Radar Test Bed Facility and Missile Manufacturing Unit in Anantapur district as AP Industrial Infrastructure Corporation has issued orders allotting 179 acres of land initially for it. The remaining land will be given in phases, according to an official of Industry department.
Bharat Electronics Limited will set up these units at Palasamudram and Thungodu villages of Gorantla and Somandevpalli mandals near Lepakshi Industrial belt with an investment of Rs 500 crore. “There will be further expansion and in addition to 800 acres we promised, we may give extra land if necessary” the official said. Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) has earlier stated that it takes at least three years to complete the project in AP.
