Virtual IT cadre formed for collectorates

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: About 25 officials from the 14 district collectorates have been trained to form the virtual IT cadre for ensuring smooth implementation of e-governance applications in the collectorates.

A ten-day training was imparted to the selected officials at the Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management - Kerala. They will be nominated as nodal officers for implementing e-governance applications.

The virtual IT cadres were initiated by the Kerala State IT Mission. Earlier, a state-level Virtual IT cadre was set up in the Secretariat. About 30 officials from 16 departments were trained. Employees with IT aptitude were selected for forming the Virtual IT cadre.
