Hyderabad: Two former Congress leaders who are now Telugu Desam MPs on Saturday embarrassed party president and AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu by speaking out of turn on the Centre rejecting special category status to AP.

Anantapur MP J.C. Diwakar Reddy and Narasaraopet MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao, who were in the Congress for more than 40 years and were known for their free-wheeling comments, on Saturday said that as far as they knew, the Centre would not accord SCS to AP.
