New Delhi: Writing to Congress chief Sonia Gandhi about his detractors in the party and their agenda, former union minister Shashi Tharoor has complained to her that his “sincere” services to the party have “neither been seen nor appreciated”.

“...Leaking is the habit of conspirators and cowards. I am neither,” Mr Tharoor wrote in his letter.

Mr Tharoor, a Congress MP from Kerala, has been in the limelight for the right and wrong reasons ever since he joined the party and won his Lok Sabha seat in 2014.

“I am dismayed, indeed distressed, by our exchange at the morning meeting. If you have read the press leaks in Saturday’s papers, it is obvious that they were maliciously aimed at me, seeking to portray me as an isolated figure in the party,” he said.
