VS Achuthanandan accuses Oommen Chandy of choking public service commission
Mr Achuthanandan said that the finance department was not clearing the bills submitted by PSC on the directions of the chief minister
Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition Leader V S Achuthanandan has accused chief minister Oommen Chandy of choking Public Service Commission by withholding funds.
In a statement here, Mr Achuthanandan said that the finance department was not clearing the bills submitted by PSC on the directions of the chief minister.
The PSC which was already facing financial crunch, is finding it difficult to carry out its day to day functioning following the government’s decision to hold back its bills.
Mr Achuthanandan said the situation was likely to worsen as PSC would not be able to organise interviews and conduct exams because of lack of funds.
There seems to be a conspiracy to choke the PSC and carry out appointments through backdoor taking huge bribes, he alleged.
