Will Smith, Jada Pinkett shut down divorce rumours
He also joked about those, who sent him their condolences after assuming the rumours were true
Los Angeles: Hollywood couple Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett have denied getting divorced, calling the rumours "foolish". There were speculations that the couple, who have two kids together, were heading for a split after almost 20 years of marriage.
Will, 46, posted a denial on Facebook, adressing his wife as "queen." He also joked about those, who sent him their condolences after assuming the rumours were true.
"Under normal circumstances, I don't usually respond to foolishness. (Because it's contagious) But, so many people have extended me their "deepest condolences" that I figured What the hell... I can be foolish, too!
So, in the interest of redundant, repetitious, over & over-again-ness... Jada and I are... NOT GETTING A DIVORCE!!!!! I promise you all - if I ever decide to divorce my Queen - I SWEAR I'll tell you myself! #Dumb People Should Have to Wear Scarlet D's," he tweeted.
Jada Pinkett's tweet followed a few minutes later. "My king has spoken," she wrote. The couple married in 1997 and has been plagued by rumors in the past.
