K Chandrasekhar Rao offers assistance to karateka, women pilot

Rao also offered financial assistance for G. Swati Rao

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday offered financial assistance to Syeda Falak, city-based karateka, to get training for the Senior Asian Karate Championship to be held in September in Japan. A resident of Old City, the 20-year-old karateka had won gold medal in Chennai Open Karate Championship last month besides winning several medals in various categories.

She is representing India in the upcoming Senior Asian Karate Championship in Japan. She met Mr Rao at Secretariat on Monday and sought financial assistance for  training. Mr Rao, who lauded her achievements, has offered to bear all her training expenses for the upcoming Championship.

In addition, Mr Rao also offered financial assistance for G. Swati Rao, the first and only woman pilot from Telangana. She met the CM and sought financial assistance for training to become Air Bus pilot. Mr Rao agreed to extend the required financial assistance.
