BENGALURU: The Karnataka High Court on Monday stayed further action on the show-cause notice against senior IPS officer Susant Mahapatra by the state government over his complaint against then Bengaluru Police Commissioner M.N. Reddi, who is now DG Home Guards, Fire and Emergency Services.

The state government had issued the notice after Mr Mahapatra sought a Lokayukta probe into his allegations of irregularities in the Karnataka State Police Housing and Infrastructure Development Corporation when Mr Reddi was its managing director.

The notice was issued seeking response from him on why he approached the Lokayukta without bringing it to the government’s notice.
