New DelhiA goal each from Chinglensana Singh and S.V. Sunil handed India a 2-0 win over hosts France, in their opening game of the two-match series at Le Touquet, on Monday night. 
 
Ranked nine places above France, world no. 8 India put up a dominant show. After a series of attacks from both sides, midfielder Chinglesana capitalised on a defensive lapse to put the team ahead in the 18th minute with a powerful finish.
 
India grew in confidence as the game progressed and took a firm grip. In the 26th minute, comeback man Sunil dribbled past the defence and sent the ball into the net for the second goal.
 
India enjoyed the better of the exchanges and ball possession, before France put up a strong show in the fourth quarter.
