London: Five police forces in Britain are investigating sex abuse allegations against the late Edward Heath, as the probe into the former prime minister's past broadened, as more victims have come out with allegations.
Detectives in Wiltshire, London, Kent, Jersey and Hampshire who are now investigating the Tory politician after alleged victims have claimed that the Tory politician had sexually abused them in 1960s. There is also a possiblity of inquiry whether he had any links to the children's home in Northern Ireland, which is in the centre of a child abuse inquiry, it was reported.
There is also speculation that there is speculation officers in Northern Ireland could examine whether the Tory politician had links to a children’s home at the centre of a child abuse inquiry.
Heath's name emerged Monday, when Britain's police watchdog said it would investigate whether police failed to pursue an allegation against him.
Wiltshire Police say detectives and a national child abuse prevention charity have received "a number of calls" following appeals for information. It has also been revealed that Sir Edward is being probed at as part of Operation Midland, a Scotland Yard inquiry into claims of VIP paedophile ring operated in the 1970s and 1980s.

The Daily Mail reported that the survivor have claimed over two decades VIPs were free to torture and rape them and one whistleblower believes at least two children were murdered. There are other reports that claim that one 'credible' victim called 'Nick' has already met with police and claimed he was abused by the former Tory leader 'multiple times'.
Britain has faced a spate of such revelations since the 2011 death of entertainer Jimmy Savile, when dozens came forward to say he had abused them. Subsequent revelations have implicated other high-profile figures.
The alleged victim's claim came as it emerged yesterday that police are being investigated over sensational claims they covered up child sex allegations against Sir Edward Heath.
The probe was launched after a retired 'very senior' officer raised concerns that a criminal trial was derailed in the 1990s to protect the former Tory leader, it was reported, and thus, police never interviewed him nor was his home searched.
The former prime minister of UK, Sir Edward Heath died in 2005.
