IIT has got going at the temporary campus at the Chadalawada group
Tirupati: The new IIT at Tirupati crossed a landmark on Wednesday by celebrating a freshers’ party for the students. The IIT has got going at the temporary campus at the Chadalawada group of institutions near Tirupati.
Ministers Palle Raghunatha Reddy and Ganta Srinivas said establishing the IIT was a prelude to Tirupati becoming the educational hub with the initiative of CM N. Chandrababu Naidu. Addressing students on the two ministers said 4G services to all villages, tabs to each house, will be facilitated within a year. They said 19 IT companies would be established soon to provide 50,000 jobs to qualified youth.
Union minster Smriti Irani, addressing the students through videoconference, said the Centre was keen to develop IT, science, electronics which will help boost the country’s economy and also employment opportunities. State technical education commissioner Udaylakshmi, district collector Siddarth Jain and others were present during the function.
