Nalgonda taxman raided, Rs 2 crore assets seized

Hyderabad: Officials of Anti-Corruption Bureau on Thursday raided the houses of Nalgonda commercial tax deputy commissioner and seized assets worth Rs 2 crore from Nalgonda and Hyderabad.

According to officials, the accused N. Sai Kishore is working as the deputy commissioner of the commercial tax department at Nalgonda. Separate teams conducted raids at Hyderabad and Nalgonda. “During the raids, we found assets worth Rs 2 crore, including gold jewellery and silver articles. Their market value is around Rs 4 crore” said ACB DSP Ashok Kumar.

The seized property includes a flat at Shankar Mutt, an under- construction house at Gachibowli, one open plot at Hyderguda, 6.08 guntas of agricultural land in Krishna District. Officials also seized one-kg gold, 10-kg silver articles, one car, one bike, insurance policies worth Rs 15 lakh. MFs and shares worth Rs 10 lakh, bank balance of Rs 5 lakh and Rs 66,000 in cash were also seized. Officials registered a case under sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
