21 drug samples blacklisted in Telangana

The samples are collected at random and tested in the DCA laboratory

Chemicals and fertiliser minister Ananth Kumar said in the Rajya Sabha that the prices of 44 drugs and 108 formulations have actually come down during last six months.

Hyderabad: The Telangana Drug Control Administration said 21 drug samples out of 560 were found to be not of standard quality. The medicines had been collected from various medicines and drug stores in the state.  

The samples are collected at random and tested in the DCA laboratory. The DCA has issued a warning to the public to avoid buying these 21 medicines from the market. Inspectors are working get these medicines from the market.

The drugs include dexamethasone tablets, Cefixime, Mezo capsule, aspirin and paracetamol of companies like Nikem Drugs Private Ltd and Minopharm Labs.
