Complete ban on construction of non-religious buildings on hill top shrines

HyderabadThe Andhra Pradesh government on Friday issued orders imposing a complete ban on construction of non-religious buildings on hill top shrines like Srisailam, Simhachalam, Annavaram, Kanaka Durga and Dwaraka Tirumala.
 
Administrative buildings, choultries, pilgrim amenity complexes, guest houses, shopping complexes, hospitals, dispensaries, schools or colleges and any other construction activity which is unrelated to religious activities of the temple will not be allowed here after. Endowments department principal secretary J.S.V. Prasad issued the ban orders.
