Vijayawada: The students of Andhra Pradesh who passed engineering from Telangana colleges are waiting to get certificates as they did not get fee reimbursement scholarships so far as the colleges are holding the certificates.

K. Satish Kumar, one such student, is a native of Vijayawada and hails from a poor family. He completed B. Tech from Saint Mary’s college at Bata Singaram on the outskirts of Hyderabad city and successfully bagged admission on a merit scholarship in a university in New York for MS. However, he has not got his certificates from his college so far.
He said that the college management is demanding the fees or that it will wait till clarity from fresh government orders.

The students are opposing the attitude of college managements saying that there are clear orders of Supreme Court stating that colleges have no right to hold certificates.
Adinarayana, who is working as watchman at a private guesthouse in Vijayawada, said that his son completed B.Tech recently and got merit scholarship and admission to an American university. He said that the college management has not given B.Tech certificates to his son Satish Kumar.

He further said that his son joined that engineering college under the fees reimbursement scheme. But now the college officials are not issuing certificates or giving his fees reimbursement for students who belong to Andhra Pradesh. Several other students face the same problem. They have requested the government to expedite the matter soon.
