No further Telangana eamcet counselling says Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari
The education ministry had earlier decided to “facilitate filling of vacant seats.”
Hyderabad: There will be no further counselling by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education for TS Eamcet, said deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari on Friday. Engineering colleges are now free to hold their own spot admissions.
However, the education ministry had earlier decided to “facilitate filling of vacant seats.” About 26000 seats were left vacant in engineering colleges though about 3,000-6,000 students were not allotted seats.
The TSCHE and the education ministry had decided to hold another round of counselling to “facilitate filling of vacant seats” instead of an official third phase of counselling.
When asked about the filling of seats, he said all phases of counselling were over and colleges could now fill the vacant seats through spot admissions.
