BSE receives 142 investor complaints in July; resolves 81

The complaints registered with BSE are in the nature of non-receipt of money

On the back of positive cues from the government over revival of struggling sectors like sugar and others and status quo by RBI on interest; markets gained for second consecutive week during the week ended.

Mumbai: Country's leading bourse - BSE said it has received 142 investor complaints against 126 companies during July this year.  In the same month, the stock exchange resolved 81 grievances, which were registered against active companies. 

"These resolved complaints include complaints brought forward from the previous periods," BSE said in a statement.  The complaints registered with BSE are in the nature of  non-receipt of money, non-receipt of equity shares in demat &  physical form, non-receipt of debt, among others, BSE said in  a statement.  Most complaints received as well as resolved during July pertained to non-receipt of corporate benefits/entitlements. 

Of the total 142 complaints received, 132 were against  active companies, while 10 were against suspended firms in  November 2014.  Vatsa Corporations has the highest number of complaints with 1,077 pending grievances against it, as on July 31, 2015, BSE said.  Other companies with pending investor complaints are - Montari Industries (60), Arihant Industries (54), Enkay  Texfoods Industries (52), Montari Leather (49), Eastern Mining  & Allied Ltd (49), Mukerian Papers (44), Pentafour Products  (39), Usha India (34) and Padmini Technologies (34).  Trading in the securities of all these companies have  been suspended, the statement said.
