RSP to have jumbo state committee
The current strength of the State committee is 76
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: RSP state committee which concluded in Kollam decided to have a jumbo committee of 91 members. Though it should have had only 80 members in the State committee owing to difference of opinion, RSP was forced to go for a jumbo committee.
RSP secretary A. A. Azeez will continue in his post as majority of the State committee leaders were of the view that he be given a second term.
Special invitees have also been included in the 91 member State committee of RSP. The current strength of the State committee is 76.
Before the RSP had joined UDF, it had only 51 members and 25 members from RSP (B) also joined making it to a total of 76 members.
In his concluding remarks, Azeez unleashed his attack against detractors by saying that those who opposed the RSP’s move to join the UDF lacks in realistic approach.
He said they can only speak about CPM in a superficial way and if RSP has to benefit something in the long run, it has to join hands with the Congress.
