While Vishnu benefited from pole-sitter Akhil’s mistake — a jump start — to reign supreme in Race Two, the Bengaluru boy made up for the disappointment with a brilliant drive in Race Three. Akhil who started fourth worked his way to finish on top, holding off a spirited charge from Vishnu and Italian guest driver Constantino Peroni.

Vishnu, who had a packed schedule competing in as many as six races, was denied a hat-trick in the Formula LGB 4. Vishnu finished on top in Race 3 only to be penalised for overtaking under yellow flags. A ten-second penalty pushed Vishnu to fifth in classification as the trio of Sudarshan Rao, Chittesh Mandody and Rohit Khanna made it a Dark Don Racing 1-2-3.
