Carnival group takes over Leela Infopark

The Leela Infopark has 5.36 lakh square feet IT/ITES space and 1.2 lakh square feet car parking facility

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Leela Infopark at Technopark has been taken over by the Carnival group.  According to sources, the deal  was finalised in Mumbai the other day for Rs 142 crore. Global IT giant Oracle, Allianz Cornhill, RM and ICON are operating from Leela Infopark.

Located on Technopark main campus, the Leela Infopark has 5.36 lakh square feet IT/ITES space and 1.2 lakh square feet car parking facility.

Carnival group, promoted by Malayali businessman Shrikant  Bhasi, had acquired the Leela Infopark in Kochi last year.

Technopark sources said that the acquisition  could lead to sprucing up of the facilities in the Leela Infopark.

“The feedback  we used to get from Leela Infopark in Kochi after Carnival’s acquisition was quite positive,” said an official.

Carnival group has been into multiplex, hospitality, media and entertainment businesses over the past many years.
