Bench dealing with PIL seeking appointment of Consumer Forum president

HyderabadA division Bench comprising acting Chief Justice Dilip B. Bhosale and Justice S.V. Bhatt of the Hyderabad High Court on Monday granted two weeks to the Telangana State government to initiate the process of appointment of the president and members of the Telangana State Consumer Redressal Forum.
 
The Bench was dealing with a PIL by N. Srinivas and another person, seeking to direct the government to appoint a retired judge, as recommended by the Chief Justice, as president of the forum.
 
Counsel representing the TS government submitted that the state government had decided to seek recommendation from the HC to initiate the process and urged the Bench to grant two weeks for taking the necessary steps. Granting the requested time, the Bench adjourned the matter.
