Hyderabad: Ace tennis star and Telangana state Brand Ambassador Sania Mirza’s car was fined for irregular number plate on Monday. Traffic cops imposed a fine of Rs 200 on the white Toyota Fortuner car, owned by Sania.

However, Sania was not in the vehicle when the incident happened.

According to police, the white colour Toyota Fortuner make car bearing no. TS 09 EG 0001, was carrying an improper number plate.

The car was heading towards Road no 10 of Jubilee Hills at around 0 8.07 pm. Police stopped the vehicle and issued an e-challan bearing no. HYD08TC151000422.

“During the vehicle check at Road no 10, Jubilee hills, we found a car carrying an irregular number plate and we issued an e-challan and handed it over to the driver.” said Jubilee Hills traffic inspector Mr Srinivas Reddy. The car is registered in the name of Sania Mirza on June 18.
