At last, there is some positive development about the long-in-discussion road movie project, Motorcycle Diaries, to be directed by Rajesh Pillai. The movie, which will be made as a bilingual in Malayalam and Tamil, will start rolling by mid-2016. “Kunchako Boban, Nivin Pauly and Narain will be the lead actors of the film, which will have Vishakha Singh and Parvathy as heroines. It will be a period flick set between 1980s and 2012,” says the director. Though Nivin and Chakkochan were part of his trendsetting movie, Traffic, they didn’t have any combination scenes.
Motorcycle Diaries will be produced by Shibu Thameens, who is now busy with the production of Vijay’s upcoming Tamil movie, Puli. “Music is an important factor of Motorcycle Diaries and it will have a total of eight songs. Shaan Rahman will compose the sound tracks of the film,” says Rajesh Pillai, who is now busy with the pre-production of his new untitled film with Chakochan and Jayasurya in the lead roles. This will go on floors in September.
