Hyderabad: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has cleared the repatriation of N.V. Ramana Reddy, special secretary (protocol) at the general administration department, to the indian Railways. Mr Ramana Reddy was also holding full additional charge as commissioner, information and public relations department.

Mr Naidu directed officials to give additional charge of the departments held by Mr Ramana Reddy to secretary, GAD (political), M.K. Meena.

Mr Reddy was on deputation to the AP government for 10 years, which ended two months ago.

The DoPT had asked the state whether it would like to absorb him into state service. The state did not reply.

The DoPT then said that the Railway Board had not agreed to the state absorbing Mr Reddy, and asked for him to be relieved immediately.
