WhatsApp introduced the 2.12.45 beta version, which is capable of recording your voice calls. A report by WhatsApp 4 stated that this version was developed only to allow selective users to record calls and assess its functioning. On the other hand, a report by Bild claims that the v2.12.45 beta is a leaked internal-only version, which is presently being used by the engineers for testing and debugging VoIP calls.

However, WhatsApp has discontinued the 2.12.45 beta for now. So, if you have downloaded 2.12.45 version by mistake, we would recommend that you install the latest version from Google Play or Whatsapp.com
