Hyderabad: If you have developed an extraordinary app designed for social benefit, but you don’t know how to take it to the next level, the Telangana IT department’s T-app Folio (Telangana App store) might be an answer.
The IT department will be hosting the “T-app Folio’ and is in talks with mobile companies to create a separate platform for it. To start with the mobile version of Mee Seva will be hosted on it. Currently there are 320 e-governance services on offer which will be brought on the mobile platform and apps will be developed for 50 per cent of these services to be made available on the mobile platform.
The department will partner with telecom providers in creating the app. “It will be developed by mobile developers and hosted by telecom provider chosen on the basis of technical capability. It will be an inter-operator and inter-platform store that can be downloaded on any mobile user,” said IT secretary Jayesh Ranjan.
Currently, it is in talks with mobile developers to develop the store and once a tie up is in place, it will take four to five months to be developed. Customer details can be saved in the app and by typing the password, the task can be completed in a few minutes.
