Prime Tech Solution in city sold seats in Karnataka
Hyderabad: Police on Thursday produced Prime Tech Solution MD Satish Palyad before a city court for cheating students aspiring for medical college admission.
Satish, who owns Prime Tech solutions, was allegedly selling MBBS seats to candidates, by collecting huge amounts and offering them medical admission in different colleges across Karnataka.
The court remanded the accused for to14-day custody and he was shifted to Chanchalguda Prison.
According to the police, the accused Satish Palyad established a consultancy nearly six years ago at Himayathnagar.
He offered MBBS seats to aspiring candidates and collected huge amounts and cheated them. He was convicted for cheating and was later released on bail.
Three years ago, he started another consultancy by the name ‘Prime Tech Solutions’ at the same location in Himayathnagar.
“He would get the details of medical aspirants and contact them over telephone. He promised them a MBBS seat in Karnataka and it would cost Rs 40 lakh through the back door. The candidates had to pay '10 lakh as advance and book the seat,” said Narayanaguda inspector Bheemreddy.
After collecting the advance from the candidates, he delayed the process and tried to evade them.
“My daughter wanted to become a doctor. But she could not clear the entrance. So we approached him. We paid him Rs 14 lakh as advance. But after collecting the payment, he is trying to escape,” said one of the victims. Nearly 10 people approached the police claiming that they had paid money for the medical seats.
“We filed a petition before the court seeking a seven day custody of the accused,” added the inspector.
