Red sanders seized by CCB

BENGALURU: The Central Crime Branch sleuths busted a racket involved in smuggling of red sanders. The officials have also seized an oil tanker which was being used to smuggle the contraband in Electronics City police station limits.

Based on a tip off, a team of police intercepted an oil tanker in Electronics City, which was heading towards the city. Upon checking, the officials found several kilos of red sanders, which were being illegally transported. The police have detained truck driver along with his assistant.

They are probing further to ascertain the source of the contraband and the people involved.
