Revanth Reddy, Sandra Venkata Veeraiah speech samples sent to court
ACB will now ask court to send the clips to FSL for examination
Hyderabad: In a key development in the cash-for-vote scam, the TS Assembly secretariat has sent audio clips of speeches made by TD MLAs A. Revanth Reddy and Sandra Venkata Veeraiah in the Assembly to the special court for Anti-Corruption Bureau cases. The MLAs are accused in the case and are out on bail.
The ACB will now ask the court to send the clips to the Forensic Science Laboratory for examination and for comparing the voices in the audio clips with those in the audio and video tapes related to cash-for-vote scam.
The FSL has already given a report stating all the tapes, audio and video clips pertaining to the same were genuine and not doctored. The FSL will now match the voices to confirm whether the voices on tapes are those of the accused MLAs.
Meanwhile, the ACB also collected interviews given by Jerusalem Mattaiah and Bishop Harry Sebastian, the other accused, to various channels and submitted them in court. These will also be sent to the FSL for examination.
The ACB is yet to ask Assembly secretariat regarding the audio copies of the speeches of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. It was alleged that one of the audio tapes have the voice of Naidu and other accused referred to him as “boss” and “Babu” during their conversations.
Meanwhile, the AP CID team failed to serve notices to the gunman and driver of TS IT minister K. Taraka Rama Rao in connection with Vijayawada case pertaining to Mattaiah.
