Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu had tried to “bribe” a cab driver arranged by the embassy with a tip in Singapore. This appears to be unbelievable, but the Chief Minister himself revealed this in a conference held with IT entrepreneurs.
The Chief Minister said during his recent visit to Singapore he offered a tip to a cab driver. But the driver rejected it and said if any one takes money like this he will not be seen again on the roads in the country. Mr Naidu said he did it to test the corruption in Singapore. Mr Naidu said if any one made a mistake in Singapore he would be punished.
Further, he said in one incident, the Singapore officials did not listen even when a former United States President intervened and punished one person. He said people are same in the world but their mindset is different. Mr Naidu said that the Singapore is a fine country and everyone is fined on mistakes.
