Rajinikanth to play Chennai don Kabaleeshwaran in 'Kabali'

The film also stars Radhika Apte, Dhansika and Kalaiarasan

New Delhi: South Indian legendary actor Rajinikanth is all set to play the character of Chennai mafia don Kabaleeshwaran in his next Tamil film 'Kabali'. The movie, which will possibly be directed by Pa Ranjith and will have Santhosh Narayanan's music, is a tale of a don from Mylapore in Chennai.

Rajinikanth's upcoming that also stars Radhika Apte, Dhansika and Kalaiarasan will be later set in Malaysia. Radhika is the fourth Bollywood actress- after Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Sonakshi Sinha to star opposite Rajinikanth. The actress who considers Rajinikanth an exceptional star considers it to be a rare opportunity and is thrilled that the film fell into place. Even though Radhika has worked in several films in the past, she isn’t quite familiar with the language. 

?Kabali has been slated to go on floors from September 17.
