Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Zac Efron will soon be starring in a reboot of Baywatch, but one of the original show’s biggest stars Pamela Anderson is not impressed. On Saturday, Pamela told TMZ that a new Baywatch movie would be a bad idea. “No one appreciates the remakes,” the 48-year-old actress explained.
Pamela, who starred as C.J. Parker on the original Baywatch between 1992 and 1998, added that the 90s were a “simpler, sweeter time” that would not translate well onto the modern-day big screen.
The upcoming movie’s stars have indicated that the future Baywatch would focus more on action and less on hot women running in swimsuits.
“It’s going to be R-rated, and it’s going to be badass,” Zac told Reuters. “I don’t think it’s going to be much like the old Baywatch, to be honest,” he added. “I think we’re going to kind of reinvent it in a big way.”
While Dwayne hinted that Pamela’s character of C.J. might return, the actress told TMZ that she had not been asked to do the reboot.
