Srinagar: A tragedy was averted by timely detection of explosives in a market in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district. Police detected the explosive substance kept in a tin at a market in Safapora area of the district on Sunday night, said a police spokesman. 

He further added that the bomb disposal squad destroyed the explosives in an open ground near the Safapora police station. Ganderbal is about 20 kms from Srinagar.
