HuJI helper was sincere at work: Hospital staff
For three months, he did his job perfectly for a meagre wage
Hyderabad: Private Unani hospital workers and doctors are still unable to believe that their security guard was a Pakistani national, who helped a HuJI terror operative escape from the country.
When Mohammed Nasir came to the hospital with a private teacher named Sohail Pervez, the hospital management did not have any suspicion. For three months, he did his job perfectly for a meagre wage, stayed in a small room given by the hospital, and behaved politely with everyone.
When a police team came knocking and arrested him and revealed his identity, the hospital authorities came to know that they had the wrong guy as security guard all along.
“He behaved very politely with us, and always was sincere about his duty. We never knew he was an imposter and had links with terror outfits,” a worker from the hospital said.
Sohail Parvez, who lives near the hospital, knew that the hospital was looking for a security guard. He brought Nasir with him and introduced him as a North Indian.
“He introduced him as a native of Panipat and said that he was looking for work. Nasir spoke Hindi and Urdu well, and did not make any wrong move to create any suspicion. We could only get a lead on Nasir after the Chanchalguda resident Masood confessed about him,” said an official from Commissioner’s Task Force, who made the arrest.
Nasir had paid Sohail and Masood, who are Hyderabadis, well in order to help him in the city. The local duo was convinced that a hospital will be the apt place for Nasir, where the enforcement agencies will give their least attention.
Their calculation turned out to be right as the Pahadi Shareef police never came to know about the presence of Nasir in the area.
While working in the hospital, after living in the accommodation provided by the hospital for more than two months, Nasir got a flat in Chandrayangutta with the help of the local duo. He moved there to operate more discreetly. However, in a few weeks, he landed in the police trap.
