Now, swipe card to enter KBR Park
It is the first national park in the country to be equipped with such security measures
Hyderabad: The electronic gate and biometric system for entry into the KBR National Park were inaugurated on Sunday.
From now on, anyone entering the park will have to swipe their smart card or bar-coded ticket and also give a thumb impression.
It is the first national park in the country to be equipped with such security measures.
The measure has been introduced to keep a count of the number of people entering the park so that it does not exceed the carrying capacity which has been set to about 2,500.
Maintenance certificate for the system has been obtained for the electronic system till 2019.
Three electronic gates installed at two entrances of the park were inaugurated by principal chief conservator of forests S.B.L. Misra and chief wildlife warden P.K. Sharma.
