Hinduja Ventures Ltd arm to invest $20 million in India

Company only last month received the headed-in-the-sky (HITS) service licence

HyderabadWith the government mandating the Digitally Adrressable Systems (DAS) roll out in the phase 3 and phase 4 markets by the end of 2015 and 2016 respectively, NXT Digital, an initiative by Grant Investrade Ltd, a subsidiary of Hinduja Ventures Ltd, plans to invest additional $20 million to expand its digital network in the country.  
 
The company only last month received the headed-in-the-sky (HITS) service licence, which enables small cable operators and multi system operators to receive digital signals of channels through less equipment.  Speaking on the sidelines of the launch of the services in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Grant Investrade Ltd managing director Tony D’Silva said, “We are currently focusing on enabling cable operators to provide digital services. For this, we have already invested $80 million in creating infrastructure and technology.
