Jet Airways operates special flight for under-privileged kids
The special flight took off from Indira Gandhi International Airport on August 19
New Delhi: Giving wings to the dreams of flying and making a positive impact on the minds and lives of 130 under-privileged children, private carrier Jet Airways operated a special hour-long flight for them, which took off from the Indira Gandhi International Airport here. The special flight, 'Flight of Fantasy' was operated in collaboration with two-three NGOs including cricketer Yuvraj Singh-run YouWeCan and city-based SDMC Primary School among others to give wings to the children's dreams, Jet Airways said in a release.
The special guests had a memorable experience as Boeing 737-800 aircraft took off from the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA), New Delhi on the afternoon of August 19. "The 'Flight of Fantasy' is our humble contribution towards making a positive impact on the minds and lives of these children. The smiles that lit up their faces during the flight is our true reward," Jet Airways chief executive Cramer Ball said.
The operations of this special flight is in keeping with Jet Airways' focus on supporting community initiatives related to education and development of children, he said. Prior to the departure of the special flight from Terminal 3, the children were entertained at an on-ground fun-filled event, the release said.
