My dad taught me simplicity: Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone is undeniably one of the most successful actresses in Bollywood today. And what helps her deal with all the hype surrounding her, she says, is her simplicity, a quality she has picked up from her father Prakash Padukone. She says, “The simplicity that I’ve learnt seeing my father, who is a star in his own right, is something I can’t let go of. That is the real me. Growing up in a celebrity home, but without any fuss or flamboyance, has taught me to be secure about myself and my work. If there’s one thing I had to take from him, it would be his ability to be patient and calm with people. Certain things irk me and at those times, I can’t be as calm as dad.”
