Opposition parties want me as a minister, says K Kavita
Kavita said that the Opposition parties were impressed with her oratory skills
KARIMNAGAR: Nizamabad MP K. Kavita said on Thursday that Opposition parties would like to see her as a Union minister, considering her talent.
She was interacting with the media on the final day of her Mana Vooru-Mana MP programme at the remote Tungur village of Sarangapur mandal on Thursday.
Ms Kavita said that the Opposition parties wished that she joined the Union Cabinet as they were impressed with her oratory skills. She, however, made it clear that this was not discussed within the TRS.
She added that the TRS was maintaining a distance with the BJP-led NDA government. “We extend support to the Union government when its policies benefit the country,” she said.
The MP expressed her unhappiness with the Centre for not granting funds to TS and for not exempting taxes of new industries. “We are not getting any support from the Centre. TS could have seen industrial growth if certain taxes were exempted,” she said.
