Boy thrashed by teacher left speechless in hospital

Vijayawada: In a shocking incident, a 13-year-old student was left hospitalised after being beaten up by his teacher, at Godavarru village of Kankipadu in Krishna district.
The incident took place over a week ago, but came to light after the student, who was suffering from problems with his nervous system, was admitted to the Guntur Government Hospital on Friday. According to Kankipadu police, Inturi Chintu, of the village is a Class VIII student of the Zilla Parishad High School of the village.
Chintu who also attends private classes taken by school teacher K. Sudhakar was allegedly beaten blue and black with a stick for not completing his homework. The boy suffered internal injuries and complained that he was in pain to his parents after a couple of days. He was then shifted to hospital.
Gradually, his condition deteriorated and now, Chintu is not able to talk. He is undergoing treatment at the GGH, Guntur. His condition is described as “critical”. Meanwhile, Kankipadu police arrested Sudhakar and produced him before court.
