Kollam: India has failed to do homework while preparing for the Indo-Pak talks, said former defence minister A. K. Antony. The central government has also not learned lessons from its prior experiences with Pakistan. Terrorism and talks won’t go together, he said while speaking to media persons at the DCC office in Kollam on Sunday.

“A small spark would ignite communal tensions as communal polarisation has gripped the society to that extent. The central government is trying to polarise the people communally. The persons in key positions should keep a vigil on preventing any such violence,” Mr Antony said.

He also said the failure of CPM in combating such forces is viewed with apprehension. The Congress will secure a good victory in the upcoming local body elections, he added.
