New Delhi: Taking weak cues from overseas markets, silver prices fell by Rs 107 to Rs 36,124 per kg in futures trade on August 25, as participants reduced exposure. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in far-month December shed Rs 107 or 0.30 per cent to Rs 36,124 per kg in a business turnover of 16 lots.

Similarly, the white metal for delivery in September declined by Rs 77 or 0.22 per cent to Rs 35,333 per kg in a business volume of 155 lots. In the international market, silver fell 2.4 per cent to USD 14.94 an ounce in London on August 23. Traders said the fall in silver prices at futures trade was largely in line with a weak trend in precious metals in global markets.
