Varun helped me to perform well in 'Dilwale': Kriti Sanon
The actress also said her co-star's infectious energy inspired her
Mumbai: Actress Kriti Sanon, who will star in the Rohit Shetty flick 'Dilwale', gave full credit to her co-star Varun Dhawan for helping her to give her best shot.
The 25-year-old actress, who is paired opposite Varun in the film, said her co-star's infectious energy inspired her.
"He has a great energy and I feel that's very important for an artist. I don't know where he gets it. When your co-star has that kind of energy it transfers to you as well. And if he is a good actor it helps you to perform well," Kriti told PTI.
The 'Heropanti' star feels Varun is one of those actors who takes a lot of interest in the process of filmmaking. "Varun is a lot of fun to work with. He is a great actor himself. He is someone, who is very passionate about films and filmmaking. He thinks a lot when it comes to a scene. And he is a die-hard filmy," she said.
The film, which reunites Bollywood's one of the most popular leading pair Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol after a gap of five years, has so far been shot in Goa and Buglaria.
The Delhi-based actress, who is yet to shoot with Shah Rukh and Kajol, recalled the moment when the "Chennai Express" star came to Goa to meet them. "He is very warm. You don't need to break the ice with him. He comes and meets everyone. He takes care of you and makes you comfortable," she said.
Kriti made her acting debut in 2014 with Sukumar's Telugu film "1: Nenokkadine", a psychological thriller and later that year, she made her Hindi cinema foray with Sabbir Khan's action-romance film "Heropanti". The actress said as a newcomer she was scared with her first Bollywood film but followed her instincts to be a part of the movie, which also marked debut of Tiger Shroff.
"I don't come from a film background and it's even more scary. But I trusted my instincts and felt that the role of the girl in 'Heropanti' cannot be ignored. It gave me a scope to perform. And I am happy that industry has accepted me and Tiger well."
