Expect rains in 48 hours: Met
The last two weeks saw moderate to heavy rainfall in the two states
Hyderabad: Good rains can be expected in the second half of the week thanks to a low pressure which is forming near the northern Bay of Bengal, IMD officials said.
IMD officials said, “The trough of low pressure on SLC runs from Odisha to south Tamil Nadu. An upper air cyclonic circulation over west central adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal now extends betw-een 4.5 and 7.6 km. Under its influence, a low pressure area would form over the north Bay of Bengal in the next 48 hours.”
“In the next 48 hours, the low pressure will definitely bring good rains in coastal AP and some places in TS and Rayalaseema,” IMD assistant meteorologist M. Narasimha Rao said.
The last two weeks saw moderate to heavy rainfall in the two states. Currently, the rainfall in Rayalaseema stands at -15 compared to the -35 I the beginning of August.
