Kochi: Kerala High Court has upheld an appellate tribunal order awarding dearness allowance to Coirfed employees on par with the government scheme.
Justice Dama Seshadri Naidu issued the order on a plea filed by Mr R. Mohandas, retried superintendent of Coirfed. The arbitration court directed the management to pay DA forthwith at the rate applicable to government employees and the arrears from January 2004 within 15 months.
The petitioner moved the court raising grievance regarding the denial of the DA at the rate applicable to government employees in terms of rule 189 (3) of Kerala Co-Operative Societies Rules.
