Trisha plays a struggling actress of the 1980s in the horror thriller Nayaki. The film, directed by Govi and produced by Trisha’s call sheet manager Ghiridhar, recently started shooting. Ganesh Venkatraman teams up with the VTV star after a gap of six years.

Trisha revealed only that she portrays a girl from the 80s, but DC has inside information that the pretty lady plays an aspiring actress. A scene was shot recently with Trisha and Ganesh. According to the scene, Trisha, a wannabe actress waits for hours along with her father (essayed by Jayaprakash) at a shooting location to meet the director. When she gets an opportunity to talk to the director, the man rejects her without bothering to take so much as a look.

A unit hand says, “We had to struggle to find a location in the city which retains its old world charm. Most of the studios in the city have been demolished. Finally, we felt that AVM Gardens located inside AVM Studios with an old-styled bungalow, fit the bill so we shot for few days there.” He adds, “Trisha looked perfect in period costumes, and being a seasoned artiste, she got her shots in the first take.”
