Andhra Pradesh cops seek nod to nab smugglers
One of the accused, Riyan Khan, owns properties worth Rs 200 crore in Karnataka

Hyderabad: Seeking permission for seizure and attachment of properties worth Rs 2,795 crore of 22 notorious red sanders smugglers outside the state, the Andhra Pradesh police, on Tuesday, submitted a report to the government. Director-general of police J.V. Ramudu submitted the report to CM N. Chandrababu Naidu, to pursue with Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Karnataka, Mizoram and New Delhi as the properties are located in these states.
Police said one of the accused, Riyan Khan, owns properties worth Rs 200 crore in Karnataka. Another smuggler, Soundar Rajan, also reportedly possesses around Rs 150 crore to Rs 200 crore in West Bengal and Ayyappan, another accused, owns property Rs 75 crore.
