Ex-Pac head to get state funeral
Four time Congress MLA Patlolla Kista Reddy passed away at his residence

Hyderabad: Telangana State Public Accounts Committee chairman and four time Congress MLA Patlolla Kista Reddy died here on Tuesday at his residence following a massive cardiac arrest. Kista Reddy, senior Congress leader from Narayankhed Assembly seat of Medak district, came here on Monday to participate in the PAC meeting. He died in is sleep. Family members noticed his condition only in the morning and rushed him to a private hospital where he was declared as “brought dead”. Kista Reddy, 74, is survived by his wife and four sons.
Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao while condoling the death of senior legislators who has also acted as protem Speaker in 2014 for the first Ts Assembly, ordered State funeral which will take place on Wednesday at his native village Panchagama near Narayankhed.
Several leaders cutting across party lines made a beeline at the private hospital including Assembly Speaker S. Madhusudana Chary, Council Chairman K. Swamy Gowd, Dy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari, Ministers Etela Rajender, Talasani Srinivasa Yadav, T. Harish Rao, Leader of Opposition in Assembly K. Jana Reddy, former Union Minister
S. Jaipal Reddy, and scores of Congress, TD and TRS legislators.
Born in 1942, Kista Reddy was a law graduate from Osmania University and practised the profession before entering into politics on the advise of his brother-in-law Congress veteran M. Baga Reddy. He was first elected to Assembly in 1989, later in 1999, 2009 and 2014. He is one among the 21 Legislators elected from Congress party in 2014 elections.
